[00:00:00] Welcome to Pilates Students' Manual, everything you want to know about Pilates in one place. I'm Olivia, and I'll be your host. Jump in the conversation on Instagram @pilatesstudentsmanual, and be sure to subscribe for updates on new episodes. Let's learn something new together.
Hello, hello everybody. Welcome back to the podcast. Today is a shorter episode because I'm wrapping up season one and giving you some teasers and sneak peeks into season two of Pilates Students' Manual. I have some exciting news to share for season two. So stay tuned for that.
But first [00:01:00] here are some stats from season one. Season one is comprised of 14 episodes, including this one. And as of recording, it has over 1100 downloads. The top category of listening device is mobile. The top device of that category is an iPhone, and no surprises, the top app is then Apple Podcasts. There are listeners on every continent, which is crazy that a podcast that's being recorded in my apartment in Chicago is being heard around the world. Every continent has listeners. Top countries for listening are the United States, Australia, and Canada, and the top city with the most listens is Melbourne, Australia.
Of those 14 episodes, there is a mini series on the six Pilates principles, notes on what Pilates is and its history, thoughts on what Pilates [00:02:00] isn't-namely yoga, some ideas about studio etiquette, about doing Pilates while pregnant, about the benefits of Pilates, and the first conversation with another Pilates teacher, Carla Shifflett, diving into Pilates as a form of recovery and rehabilitation from injuries. That episode also came out today. So be sure to give it a listen.
I do have exciting news about season two, namely that I've launched a Buy Me a Coffee page at buymeacoffee.com/OliviaPodcasts. Buy me a coffee allows you to support me, my work, and the podcast by donating to me directly. You can do a one time donation or become a member with a recurring monthly donation of as little as $5 a month.

Another way you can support the podcast is through my affiliate links. You can check them out at links.Oliviabioni.com/affiliates. These are products that I use and love, and I think you will too. When you use my affiliate link, you can get some great discounts on those products.
I've got loads of great stuff planned for season two. I'm reading Caged Lion about the legacy of Joseph Pilates through the eyes of one of his students, so they'll definitely be a book club episode. I'm planning some cool exercise breakdowns, some deep dives into the anatomy of Pilates, looking at Pilates and cardio, exploring the mind spirit aspect of Pilates that Carla mentioned in [00:04:00] her interview, and so much more.
I'd love to hear from you. If you have any burning questions about Pilates or something you'd really like to learn more about reach out to me on Instagram @pilatesstudentsmanual and I'll see what I can do. Let's talk about it.
I will be taking a short break, just one week off, but I will be back posting new content on Friday, September 11th. So mark your calendars and subscribe if you haven't already done so.
Thank you all so much for listening, for subscribing and reviewing, for sharing and supporting the podcast and all the ways that you do. It really means the world to me. It is a very small operation over here in the podcast and your support is everything. Have a great break and I'll talk to you again soon.
